Super Lawyers is a rating agency that selects the top lawyers from all 50 states and Washington, DC on an annual basis. Five percent of lawyers are named Super Lawyers, while no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in any given state are named as Rising Stars. Candidates must be age 40 or younger or have been in practice for less than 10 years to be eligible to become a Rising Star. Super Lawyers uses a stringent method of peer nomination and evaluation along with independent research to identify its honorees with the goal of helping the public to select the best possible attorney to argue their case. Lawyers may not nominate themselves or campaign to win. Super Lawyers Magazine can be found in law school libraries around the country, while a digital version of the magazine is offered online.
